Case Study: Ceramic Speed Bearings

Reducing Downtime Through Ceramic Bearings

Recent Case Study on CeramicSpeed bearings, a local paper mill was experiencing bearing failure due to electrical current passing through a steel roller onto an 80mm bearing insert causing increased wear and friction. We suggested replacing the insert with a CeramicSpeed equivalent.
After a total of 3 years running the bearing’s longevity has significantly improved from the original 3 months scheduled maintenance change.
This has resulted in a 1200% increase in the lifespan of the bearing and saving them thousands in machine breakdowns and running cost of the machine.

A great example of the support shown by CeramicSpeed solely supporting IADA and its members. Ultimately saving our customers on downtime and running costsđź’ˇ
