Case Study - Polymer Recycling Centre
Part of Essentials service is to help our customers control and maintain their stock levels by setting up their stores in an easy and manageable way, thus reducing downtime that will result in a fall in production.
We do this by working with the engineers to set up a critical spares list and then deciding a minimum and maximum stock level. We then do a stock check to suit the customer.
Recently we have done this in one of the biggest recycling plants in the North West. Working with the purchasing manager and the chief engineer , we identified the bearings, seals, sprockets and couplings that were critical and then agreed a stock level for each.
We then put new stock bins and arranged the stock so that if a breakdown did happen it could be resolved as quickly as possible. The stock is checked on a regular basis and the customer billed only for what he has used.
